In addition to focusing on balancing career and family, Home Sellers' Associates also work on behalf of people they never meet.

When Home Sellers was part of the ERA Franchise, Home Sellers adopted the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) as their charitable fund. Since 1977, the entire ERA Franchise has raised nearly $30 million to help over 1 million children and adults with neuromuscular diseases.

When Home Sellers became an independent real estate company in January 2003, Alan B. Peoples, President of Home Sellers of Maine, continued the charitable fund, but with children's needs as it's primary focus.

In the summer of 2004, Home Sellers had it's 9th Annual Golf Classic and again the recipients of this year's major fund raising event was the Make A Wish Foundation. 2003 Golf Classic raised over $15,000 from the Sponsorships, registrations, hole-in-one contests and from the silent auction that are a part of each years tournament. This year, we raised in excess of $20,000, which equates to granting 4 special wishes for some Maine children with life threatening illness.

"The whole office gets involved in this very special effort" says Alan B. Peoples, president of Home Sellers of Maine. "I'm extremely proud of the people in this office. They are selfless and enthusiastic about getting involved with helping the children of Make-A-Wish," says Peoples.

Since 1988, Home Sellers has raised over $500,000 for the children of Maine!
